In today’s news: “Alaska set to release 
thousands of Sarah Palin emails“
If you are thinking ‘so what?’, that’s exactly what I have been thinking :)
Some facts:
- 24,199 pages of emails, after nearly three years of delay
- 85 boxes that reportedly weigh 50 pounds each
- Seventeen news organizations and individuals are in Juneau today to begin combing through the messages
- MSNBC, Mother Jones, and ProPublica are reportedly working on assembling a database of the emails
- Meanwhile the Anchorage Daily News has partnered with ABC News to scan the documents
- The release does not include the final tumultuous 10 months in office
- her lawyers have reviewed the emails before they were released
- 2,275 pages have been withheld
- Another 140 pages are being held back because they were deemed unrelated to state business
- The emails are being released in printed form, as opposed to electronically
Make no mistake, this post is not a backlash at Sarah Palin, but at media and politics, who try to distract public from main issues at hand – gladly unsuccessful.
One of those issues: U.S. National Debt – $14.32 trillion. The National Debt has continued to increase an average of $3.95 billion per day since September 28, 2007. According to the latest stats, the amount increases by over 100 million dollars every hour or so – Unbelievable.
I look forward to seeing how this tragedy will be solved…
